Manor house guest bedroom redesign and colour scheme

Interior design does not have to mean throwing out everything and starting from scratch. I am a great believer in that with a creative approach you achieve magic results and rooms can be transformed more holistically. It is lighter on the envirnoment and the pocket too. I live in an old country Manor house which needs some updating, we are working on the gardens, outbuildings and interior, it is an evolving project. Colour palette inspiration- lilac and herb

Nature is an abundant source of inspiration, I am lucky to be surrounded by it. Freshly picked from my garden I felt drawn to photographing combinations of overgrown dill and the flowers from the hosta plant which was the starting point for this new colour palette. Combinations of greyed lilac, soft creamy yellow, mustard hues with bases of green are both calming, slightly off beat, old and new all at once. Lilac has come through in both interiors and fashion after pink dominating trends for some time, combined with herb yellows and greens it still looks pretty yet more sophisticated.
