Injecting Laughter (Side Effects Encouraged)

Instead of a COVID jab, which for many was forced, rushed, and wrapped in a thick layer of fear, how about injecting a bit of humour into your life?

No needles. No queues. No one ordering instructions from behind a mask. Just a real laugh that lands straight in the belly and wakes something up.

A genuine laugh bypasses the overthinking mind, slips past fear, and returns us to breath. You know something is funny before your head gets involved. The body recognises truth first. That’s belly wisdom, ancient, instinctive, still undefeated.

Notice how

Fear tightens.

Laughter loosens.

And when things become heavy and sometimes dramatic, laughter is often the first crack in the wall. Have you had that feeling, in a meeting, when things get tense, sharing a laugh, even in a serious situation can bring a sense of ease, a change in the atmosphere.

Notice this power, the shift.

A smile.

A raised eyebrow.

Spell broken.

Fear was used, very effectively, to keep people apart, quiet intuition, and police what could be said or felt. Many sensed something wasn’t right in their gut, yet were told that feeling itself was wrong. Humour matters here. It cuts through the veneer. It signals recognition. I feel it too.

That shared recognition is medicine.

British Humour: A Superpower in Plain Sight

British humour has always been a superpower, it can be disarming. It cuts through nonsense and reminds us who we are when systems lose their minds. It’s time to reclaim it, celebrate it, and use it openly. Because humour is how we stay human.

Humour brings about a different perspective. About seeing with the heart as well as the eyes. When life becomes too rigid, too tight, too serious, the energy begins to contract. Humour can restore movement.

This is sacred feminine wisdom at work. Joy as medicine. Laughter as life force. Comedy as a way of keeping creation alive when it threatens to grow brittle, restoring expansion, freedom of spirit, and inspiration.

Laughter lets truth bloom.

Laugh out Loud (LOL)

Humour is essential in today's world. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is laugh.

Laughter isn't an escape, it's a reset that cuts through the noise and resets your system.

So laugh when you can. Tell the joke. Take the piss when it’s needed, trust what your gut already knows.

Invitation

If something in this reflection stirred you, or you felt a quiet yes somewhere inside, this isn’t accidental. That’s the body recognising truth.

If you feel called to go deeper, I offer 1‑to‑1 transformational work, guiding you through my personal process, The F.L.A.I.R Method. It’s a set of gentle yet powerful steps designed to help you reconnect with your inner knowing, release what’s constricting your energy, and return to your natural state of clarity, freedom, and alignment.

This work isn’t about fixing what’s broken. It’s about remembering what’s already whole. Moving from the head back into the body. Letting life force flow again. Learning to trust yourself from the inside out.

You can explore The F.L.A.I.R Method and find more reflections on my website. If you’d like ongoing support, inspiration, and reminders to stay connected to your truth, you’re also warmly invited to subscribe to my newsletter at the bottom of this page, or on the homepage.

If it resonates, you’ll know.

And if not, take the laughter with you anyway. It’s medicine you don’t have to give back.

Thalia was one of the Muses, the goddess who presided over comedy and idyllic poetry. In this context her name means "flourishing", because the praises in her songs flourish through time.
