September messages

This week, on a beautiful Septembers day, 9.9.9, on my third walk of the day, I met a man who was metal detecting in a field, I stopped to ask if he had found any treasure, and laughed, as I said, if you have would you tell me?

Lines from a poem I wrote some time ago surfaced in my consciousness, as the conversation unfolded, it brought forward thoughts of the earth storing hidden memories, hidden treasure and how we may be drawn to seek it out.
I instinctively recited the lines 'do not burn or burry the past in layers of shame. If we do that, we will only perpetuate the very same!' As we talked, we touched on history, our roots, ancestors, language, on the earth, the enjoyment of being outside in nature, the peace it contained, the excitement of the possibility of discoveries to be made and of personal challenges.
It was a chance meeting, which opened both my mind and my heart, and as I walked away, more surfaced from the conversation, what was the treasure the man was really seeking? What are we all seeking? Is it easier to find it in nature, in moments of solitude and peace? I believe it is, that is why I have created Capture the Seasons online courses to help you open to discovering your treasure and gifts. The autumn course is available to access for FREE! Things were revealed when I allowed the time to stop, to chat, layers were uncovered. A chance meeting can open so many doors. When did you last stop to chat with a stranger? What did you share, was it small talk, or did you open up to something, did they open up? We can learn from each other, if we are open to receiving, and to sharing from the heart. I do believe we will be sent messages, meet people who carry them, or we have a message for someone and can help each other.
This poem I remembered revealed itself to me over lockdown, September 19th, 2020, the time is right to share it now. I have added it to my Waking poems series, which I have published here for you to read.
They are born early in the morning, from the ‘thin place’, the place between sleep and awake, the space and moment where the distance between heaven and earth seems almost non-existent. The meeting place between the conscious and unconscious minds.

Time and space allow new perspectives and on reading this poem years after, I now see it in a wider context, I see that it can this apply to us individually as well as us as a whole.
On a healing level, our past can hold many lessons, the past is there to help us. I do not believe we should be afraid to confront it or to hide it, if we can look at with compassion and love, these are keys to transformation and finding the treasure we seek.
I believe this poem holds import message for us. What are your thoughts?
